Clarence Ford: poaching and the 'punk' lily

Where most clivia species — otherwise known as bush lilies — get a touch of the vapours outside of a cool, damp forest understory, the ‘punk’ lily can take a 45°C day on the chin. But the remarkable miracle clivia (Clivia mirabilis) is being poached to the edge of extinction from its home, a single gorge on the Bokkeveld Plateau in the Northern Cape, South Africa. Leonie and Clarence Ford are once again in conversation, looking for solutions to today’s pressing problems on his show Views & News on Cape Talk.
